A little bit sideways
Yesterday, we saw a very large drop in the market and today we saw a pretty good rebound. So, is the market going to go up or go down? The best answer anyone has is: yes.
I have expected a really large drop in the market for months and that has not happened. The moves yesterday and today are good examples of the difficult market we are in right now. While we are having good days and some bad days - the market has mostly gone sideways as of late.
As I've mentioned before, I remain very concerned and cautious about the market and whether or not we are seeing a true recovery or simply a set-up for another drastic fall. Since it is impossible to determine right now, I've chosen to remain very conservative with the portfolios.
Still, with everything above, I plan to try to take advantage of the market drops and move more SLOWLY into the market a LITTLE more. The only big bet I'm making is to remain cautious.
I am in Texas visiting my son and his family this week. However, as you might be able to tell I'm continuing to keep an eye on the market and the portfolios. I will be back in the office next Tuesday. Until then, remain calm and enjoy what's left of our summer.
